Scent Hearts for AdventHealth NICU
An enthusiastic group gathered at the September Sew Crazies meeting at The Sewing Studio (Maitland) to work on Scent Hearts for AdventHealth NICU. Diane organized everyone into groups so that we could make lots of hearts in a production line.

One Community Service Project we are working on in 2021 is making hearts for the NICU at AdventHealth. These are two heart shaped pieces of fabric about 5-6 inches across. They are stitched right sides together with an opening for turning. Turn, press, and topstitch all around, closing the opening. These are worn close to the body of family members and then placed in the isolette with the baby to become familiar with the scent of family members even before they can be picked up.
