The Goatfeathers inspired us with their magical fabric manipulations, for redesigned fabrics, purses, jewelry, dolls, quilts, wearable art and so much more.
Merri McKenzie and Celeste Beck brought the “magic” of their GoatFeathers Studio to our Annual Meeting in November. Their joy of sewing is contagious and their creativity knows no bounds. They entertained and inspired us with a trunk show that had something for everyone.
As sisters will do, Celeste and Merri challenge each other to go beyond the ordinary. “How can we give this project new life?” seems to be their mantra. With that in mind, our CAB (Chapter Advisory Board) wanted to create an environment that shed the bounds of an ordinary Ladies Luncheon. With bright colors and Seussical accessories, the room radiated a creative spirit. When our guests arrived, they knew right away that they had entered a “World of Whimsy.” It was a delightful day!
